Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I just wanna say that I truly truly value and appreciate this thread it is just been a godsend to me one of my goals is to be more optimistic and to be more thankful and just around myself with people with the same attitudes and tired of telling people to be more grateful and I like being around people Are grateful I mean you can be grateful about every little thing in your life and you should be and I so enjoy this thread and enjoy it because of the people that are on it You all are very nice amazing giving kind wonderful people and I’m grateful for all of you! You know as the saying goes you never know what somebody’s going through and you never know what somebody needs and this is what I needed for what I was going through thank you also very much!!! I’m so grateful I just wanted to let you know!!!
People are always quick to complain but often times they never pay out the compliments or tell somebody you really made a difference you really made me feel a whole lot better I like to tell people
Hey you really made a difference you really made me feel a whole lot better thank you so very much!!!
I’m very grateful for you all and the fact you put up with me and my hatred of snow ❄️! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

(Fri, 5/17) - 3 car or transportation-related things you're grateful for
1. My car, Olaf. Poor Olaf has a few uh... self inflicted "beauty marks" but he runs with no major problems.
2. Airplanes. When I drive to and from work, I can often catch planes shortly after they've taken off and as they are approaching, and it still just fascinates me and leaves me in a bit of awe each time. Pretty sure I could watch planes take off and land all day and not tire of it.
3. On a similar note two 2, can I count NASA? Again, I'm just completely in awe of spaceflight.

1. Like @newski_mom, I love my Toyota Highlander. Mine is a 2013 with 162,000+ miles on it and it is comfortable to drive and to ride in. Very few problems and has been paid off for years. I hope to keep it a long time.
2. Cruise control—we just drove about 6 hours tonight, mostly highway and I am so grateful for being able to set the speed and not worry I am creeping up without noticing.
3. Driving directions on phones—so helpful to see the map showing you where to go and hearing the directions.

Airplanes - I hate road trips !! Love flying !!!

Annual Pass - always enjoyed when I had one it meant several trips to Disney !!! Of course back then it didn’t cost the price of a house !!

Adventures - this could be by accident or on purpose - whenever I’m driving somewhere new I say we are on an adventure we may or may not get to our destination-yes I use GPS it doesn’t help me 🤣🤣 I still manage to get lost!!!

Above and beyond, First, and Foremost, Almighty God.

Air to breathe and the blessing of being able to easily do so.

Arms that are healthy and functional are sure another privileged blessing to me from God.

America, my country. All who kindly serve in military and every day here at home ways. I believe God has an infinite host of Angels both here on earth and in Heaven. Each of us have the call and ability to touch another heart.

ABC's. Grace of being able to physically see and otherwise enjoy reading and writing.

All. I pray to be grateful and give Him thanks in all, always, no matter what.

All of dear you:grouphug:

@PollyannaMom I SO hear you on the "having your own car" thing. We share our home with DD30, her husband, and his 7yo. We are 4 adults and a kid sharing 3 vehicles. SIL doesn't have a car, and that's OK as if he did, we wouldn't have the space to park it off-street in the winter. Anyhow... it's always a constant juggle for vehicles. DD is a social worker in a rural area so needs her car for daily visits to clients. SIL works in a completely different direction than we do, and needs a vehicle to be able to pick up the 7yo after work. Fortunately, DH and I work at the same location so it's easy for us to carpool, and if we can't there is a free local bus that drops off on campus. While we can make it work, if there's every a day when someone needs to be elsewhere at a certain time, or a car is in the shop or something, we do the car-shuffle, which usually means either I do a lot of driving (schlepping folks around) or I have no access to a vehicle at all. I miss my little Kia Soul and being able to take off whenever I feel like it, without worrying how who is gonna get home from where!

@WDWEPCOT I 100% totally agree on all three of your "A" things! DD and I had Annual Passes one year, when it was about $450 for the pass. My BIL was a flight attendant for United at the time so flying in an Airplane was stupidly affordable ($70 rt for both of us from PA to FL), and we had four Disney Adventures that year with my sister and nieces!

A things...
Appalachian Mountains: The northern end of the Appalachians is fairly close to where we live in Maine. We have some nice hiking trails (even for me, the Ultimate Couch Potato) and beautiful scenery thanks to this ancient mountain chain. I could see Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, part of the Appys, from the window above my desk when I worked in Bar Harbor. The views from the top of Cadillac are amazing; DH and I had our first date here, to see the sunrise on the summer solstice (June 21) in 1985.

Avocados- Love 'em, straight-up as is, made into guacamole, or used as a spread or ingredient in many things (salad, omelet, etc).

Aircraft- Don't want to limit this to just airplanes, as I am fascinated by space travel and all things NASA... although can you call it an AIRcraft once it leaves our atmosphere, traveling to infinity and beyond, where the is no air? Probably not, but, oh well, I'll give it a shot!

@TiggerTrigger - I just read your posts about the storms you had. I’m sorry to hear this. I hope and pray your clean up goes quick & smooth and that you get your electricity back very soon. Thanks be to God that you are all ok. God bless! ❤️

Good Saturday Morning!
It’s going to be a beautiful day today 😎☀️

#1 - Alone Time - I’ve been working closely with the public for 36 years and I’m like an uncertified therapist for many of them throughout the years. I have heard every issue in their lives - it shocks me, absolutely shocks me, what people have told me. I’m grateful that people trust me, I’m grateful that I’m easy to talk to and I’m grateful that I’m a good listener, but after the work day is over, I’m very glad for some quiet alone time. One of the reasons I love working on my puzzles, is because it’s quiet alone time.

#2 - Amazon - I’m not the biggest lover of shopping, and Amazon has made it so easy for people like me buy things. There’s been times items get delivered the same day - amazing!

#3 - Air Fryer - It’s the best! I use it to cook so many things.

I agree it blows my mind the things total strangers have told me !! 😳😳😳 Trust me I don’t have a come chat with be face yet people do 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ frequently!! All I have to do is say Hello !! Next thing I know - I can tell you EVERYTHING about them and their life in detail !! I have the same gift on the phone too !! I’ve learned over the years to embrace it - as I said earlier - you never know what someone is going through ir what they need at the time - maybe they just need to talk !! I can listen !! I hope I help !!! Besides sometimes it’s very entertaining!! 🙀🤣🤣

Amor! (Love in Spanish).. the love of my family keeps me going every day

Arcoiris (Rainbow in Spanish).. my niece loves them so much..!
